I’ve been walking around in circles Second-guessing why I left,
But this city never changed.
I’ve been holding on so dearly
So the light won’t ever fade, But I don’t know who I am.
If I had known the end
You think I’d fix the story, But I wouldn’t trade a thing.
So I’m owning up to mistakes that seemed like the route to take. While remaining optimistic so I won’t sink in misery.
My heart is a ticking time bomb and I,
I’ve come around to see the beauty in the dark I hide.
Though I could save the world, for now I’ll save myself.
I have promised to start over
for the hundredth time this year, but I know I’ll stay the same.
So I get a new perspective
